Cindy Valencia, Affiliate Operations Coordinator

cindy-valenciaCindy Valencia has fifteen years of experience in nonprofit organizations through fundraising, special events and community cultivation. Cindy recently moved from Long Beach, California where she was a center director for AbilityFirst, a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with disabilities. Cindy oversaw the daily operation of the center and served over 130 clients while also increasing the center’s fundraising goal and recruiting volunteers for the annual 5K walk. Cindy worked in collaboration with local schools and businesses in the Orange County area, the City of Anaheim Parks and Recreation Department, Special Olympics World Games, Regional Center and Senator Correa’s 34th District Office.

Cindy was a part of Senator Correa’s Autism Steering Committee and, in 2013, received the Women Making a Difference award, which is given to distinguished women who have shown extraordinary dedication and contribution to the Orange County community.

Cindy will continue her education at the College of Southern Nevada in the spring.
